WOAH! You wake up in the middle of the night and there is smoke in your house. There was a fire in the fireplace , but it seemed to spread onto your carpet and is getting out of control. Your family needs to escape, but are you ready with planned out routes beforehand? Lets look at some tips and strategies for a quick and safe escape from a house fire.

Basic roadmap of escape routes
The most obvious route is through the front or the back door, but what if both are unsafe and blocked by fire? Then where do you go? There are many other routes in your house, for example in your bathroom there are windows so you can escape there, along with your bedroom window. As you can see with the image on the left there are multiple routes in order to escape a house fire as quickly and safely as possible. But some of those routes need certain equipment are you prepared?




Items with description of usage
There are some must haves in order to be properly prepared for a house fire escape. Here is a list of those must-haves: **(ALWAYS CALL 911 IN EMERGENCY)**

      -Ladder
      -Flashlights
      -Smoke Detector
      -Fire Extinguisher
      -Towels
      -Light or Bright Cloth
      -Cotton T-Shirt





Each piece of equipment has a purpose to keep you out of harms way when you are escaping a fire. Most of those items might seem obvious to have but always make sure YOU are prepared for anything that may happen.
